OK.  So you are mad about this mess.  You're ready for change.  What next?  While the opposition party is focused on who will face me in the general election, I am focused on listening to voters.  I'm calling it my "Listening Tour."  Below are some simple ideas for you to get active in my campaign.  I welcome your creativity so if you have an idea please send it in.

Host a House Party:  House Parties are good for fundraising and for meeting voters.  I've had a few folks say, "My friends aren't rich so there's no point."  Not true.  Every vote counts the same and your friends are more likely to vote for someone you endorse.  These events can be as fancy or as downhome as you want.  The main thing is that you and your friends are comfortable and we can have a conversation.

Invite me to your Church/Community Group/School:  I need to know what people think about this district.  Invite me as a guest and introduce me.   Invite my family to come play music at your church.  We are church musicians and we are always glad to come to share our music.  Send me an e-mail with the dates and times and your contact info.  If I am not already booked I'll be there.

Organize a block walk:  Starting soon, we will be organizing precinct by precinct block walks.  This means we will knock on doors and take the message to the voters.  This is a great way to meet your neighbors. 

Write a letter to the editor: House District 29 is served by many newspapers.  Start taking your local paper and write letters to the editor outlining what you think we should be doing in Austin.  Please send us a copy.  

Make the Pledge to Vote and get others to also: My campaign is encouraging everyone to sign a pledge to vote in the March primary and the November General Election.   You fill out a form (click here) and fill it out.  Return it to us and we will contact you during early voting to remind you to vote.
